1. New House
We moved out of the Glendora house and into a smaller, older, but cooler home up a few blocks. The Ximeno house is awesome... it really feels like home. Built in 1926, it's definitely got its quirks (like a crazy old wall mounted sink and creaky floors) but it's definitely ours. It's a vibrant (yes, I use words like vibrant) mix of Ikea and vintage and we love it!
Neville is probably the best decision Andrew and I have ever made together. Back in July of last year, my sister called and said her friend had rescued a few puppies and they needed homes. We had really wanted a puppy but wanted to wait until we could afford a Schnauzer. Well, a little birdy (my sister) told us that there was a chance that the pups were part Schnauzer, and one of us (me) is a sucker for the prospect of a cute puppy, so we went down to look at them, with the thought that we were NOT leaving with a dog. Three hours (and two sad puppy eyes) later, we were the proud parents of this adorable puppy. I mean really, who could say no to this face?!
Now a year later, here he is... in all his Schnauzer-y glory!
So here's the biggest new thing in our lives... We're engaged! Andrew popped the question on April 16th when we were in Florida visiting our new niece, Olivia. I had no idea that it was going to happen and was SO surprised! More to come on the engagement, but here's a photo to start it off.
